ABOUT ISABELLE
“I am interested in translating reality, conversations, mannerisms, and euphoric indescribable feelings into creative media—to find, connect with, and represent others.”
- Isabelle Bizalion
I find these about sections always manage to say the same thing about anyone–one day I was born, I learned things, found something I like, thanks for reading bla bla bla. Please be disclaimed, that we are all much more than our about sections.
Hello! I’m Isabelle.
I haven’t stayed still in the same place for more than four months at a time during the last three years.
I’ve studied fine arts in Florence, Italy, journalism and literature in Bozeman, Montana and creative writing and computer graphics in western Massachusetts.
In between, I’ve camped off-grid under the Wyoming Grand Tetons, led backpacking excursions through the Montana Bridger Range, embarked on five road trips in one year, co-founded a run club on Long Island, NY, and solo traveled whenever possible.
Born in New York to two immigrant parents, my father from Arles, France, and mother from Dublin, Ireland, I am a first generation American. While growing up, I was fortunate enough to travel frequently to these two countries, among others.
While traveling with my parents cultured an openness to foreign faces, sounds, and tastes, growing up in rural Massachusetts with the Appalachian Range for a backyard fostered a need for playing outside.
My work often reflects what I’ve flown over, biked through and the strangers whose birthdays I’ve memorized and parents I’ve come to know quite well.
I am interested in translating reality, conversations, mannerisms, and euphoric indescribable feelings into creative media—to find, connect with, and represent others.
